Kõrvemaa Spring Cross and Illuka Night Rogain
In April we participated in spring cross run, wich is a health running event but dogs are allowed. We have participated 3 years for now and it is a great spring tradition. This time Sandy ran canicross with my friend Katrin and Fjodor was with me. Both dogs worked good. Results in 5 km trail: Sandy & Katrin time 33,52; me and Fjodor time 33,03.
Other event was the Night Rogain Orienteering competition. It was just really great. I just loved this and dogs too. They were so happy. We did 5h and a little more than 20 km. Trail was hard, so I think our speed of walking/running was pretty good. Once we had to cross a river too. It was a great experience to travel in the night! Here is a little video taken in the start.

Ipson`s uphill run and canicross, 06.11.2011
We participated in Ipson`s dog competition in uphill run and canicross again. Results: Sandy long run, 20,49sek, Fjodor 14,46sek in puppy class (dogs up to 6 months). Fjodor was second place in his class.There were 110 participants in uphill run.

Kati & Fjodor 4.place, time 14,46. There were 28 participants in canicross.
Autumn Koerus 2011, 16.10.2011
We participated in dog orienteering competition Koerus again. This time Erik went to A-train with Sandy. A-trail is the hardest trail. There must be one person and dog. Excesises are more difficult than in H (hobby)-trail (cannot use treats etc.). Fjodor and I together with our friend Eliko went to K-trail wich is for puppies. It is shorter and there are less tasks than in other trails. I must say that the exercises were pretty difficult for a pappy. Some were the same as in H-trail. I am so glad that Fjodor did all the tasks well. There were one tracking task, agility trail, tunnel, smart-toy task (dog had to get the treats from the toy), remote control (dog had to go round the tree by remote instructing) and sitting in the bowl. This time there were more samoyeds. Aili and Nette participated too. Nette is 10-yeas old!
Results were. Erik and Sandy, 3.place in A-trail, Aili and Nette, 3.place in H-trail, Kati, Eliko and Fjodor, puppy-trail time 57min...There are no hierarchy in puppy trail, but we were 5th. among 10 participants:) More pictures here and here
Autumn hike in Valgejärve, 30.09.-01.10.2011
We had a nice hike in Valgejärve nature trail.it was also Fjodor`s firs hike. Distans was ca 35km. I think he ran 1/3 more and didn`t seem very tired also;) And of course there were lots of mudcaves which he just loves:P Sandy is an experienced hiker. She always knows when the trail is going to be long and she knows how to manage his energy. Pictures here.

Our result was 165,5 points, I degree and 3.place in beginners class. I think it is a very good result concidering we have very little experience in big competitions. I degree means that we can go higher level now - Open class. We certainly will not do that right now. I am not ready yet;)

Kõrvemaa Rogain 2011, 17.07.2011
We participated first time in 8h orienteering competition. We had also two other dogs with us - Tarri and Fera (belgian shepherds). Since I had to go to another occation the same night we could not walk the whole 8h. Our time was 7h and 33km. It was really fun and I could do it again. No matter that once I sanck in the mud and almost to half of my body was muddy and wet:P Luckily the camera didn`t get any harm.

Little vaccation in South-Estonia, 02.-.03-07.2011
We had a nice weekend in south-estonia. Erik wanted to participate in salomon adventue sport competition wich was held in Sunday and we arrived earlier just to look around.
We visited museum of Paide castle (Wittenstein). Sandy was also a visitor and we also saw a movie about prehistoric Estonia. She behaved well during the movie session and received a praise of other visitors:). Later we visited Põltsamaa and finally our destination was lake Võrtsijärv. It was a nice weekend with very warm weather, lots of swimming and nice country views. I just love to be in countryside. Estonia is a very beautiful country:)

Sandy and I participated in official obedience competition.
Result: 5.th place among 10 participants, 152,5 points, Very good. Sandy also got judge`s special price (for beeing non-traditional obedience dog/breed).
Visit to kindergarden, 17.05.2011
Sandy and I visited kindergarden Päikesekiired. All children got to throw dog treats to Sandy so that she could catch it. We also did obedience performance and some tricks. I haven`t trained tricks for a long time but luckily Sandy still remembered some of them:)

Over a long time we participated in dog show. There were over 70 samoyed dogs. Sandy`s result: open Very good. Sandy was also chosen to "Best look" competition. We didn`t win the price but we were very surprised that Sandy was even chosen to this competition.
It was a very nice show and thank`s a lot for Estonian Samoyed Assossiation who organized the show.

Sandy and I got 3.place in women`s canicross. Time 14,27 min, distance 3 km.
We had also samoyed dog Weiss from kennel Samite with us. Weiss and Erik got 4.place in canicross with the time 11,37 min, distance 3 km.
Uphill run: Sandy ran with 15,65 seconds and Weiss with 17,02 seconds.

We took part in dog orienteering competition. 8.place in H-trail among 39 participants. There was also 8 control points where dog had to perform certain tasks (agility trail, nose task, obedience tasks etc)

Sandy and Erik got 2.place in DCM (male canicross). Distance 2X5,2 km, time in first day 20,42 min, second day 19,47 min.

ERNA 10th Patrol Hike, 07.08.09
Sandy participated in ERNA Patrol hike. Dogs were not allowed before. We were a pilot team in the shortest trail. Now she is the first dog who has completed the trail. ERNA Patrol hike is one of the hardest organized hike in Estonia which is arranged by Estonian Scouts Union every year. We walked 40km (25 miles) during 13 hours. There were seven control points where we had to perform different tasks (first aid, agility trail etc). Sandy was also carrying a bag (weight 3,5 kilos). We got 5th place. I am so proud of my dog. She was so brave and also a nice company. I must admit that although the trail was pretty hard it was not her limit. She didn`t look very tired after the hike;) In the future we dream to participate in average trail. There will be about 60-80km and also military response acitivity.
